Dr. Venkataraman is the founder and Vice president Technology of Momenta Pharmaceuticals. Momenta is a biotechnology company Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biotechnology company specializing in the sequencing and engineering of complex sugars for the development of improved versions of existing drugs, the development of novel drugs, creation of generic products and the discovery of new biological processes. Momenta recently turned into a publicly held company listed in the NASDAQ exchange. Prior to founding Momenta, Dr. Ganesh Venkataraman was a member of the MIT faculty where he pioneered research in the area of analytical techniques for complex carbohydrates. He also served as the Director of Bioinformatics for the Consortium for Functional Glycomics, a multi-million dollar NIH initiative to study the role of complex sugars in biology. |
Dr. Uma Sundaram graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University. After post-graduate stints at Princeton and Stanford, she worked at KLA-Tencor as a Research Engineer. She worked as a technology specialist at Fish and Richardson in Boston. For the last several years she has been at the Research and Licensing office of Massachusetts General Hospital as a Senior Business Strategy and licensing Manager. |
Professor Ram Sasisekaran is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has the distinction of co-chairing the Bio-engineering Graduate Program at MIT. He is also Visiting Professor at the Princess Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Bangkok, Thailand and at the National University of Singapore. He has made key contributions in biological engineering and has over 95 research and technical publications, and 45 patents to his credit.
He is also the Co-founder & Director of Momenta Pharmaceuticals, abiotechnology company based in Cambridge, MA and BioScale Inc., a Nanotechnology company based in Boston MA. He is also on the editorial board of several scientific journals, and on the advisory board of other biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is a member of the National Institutes of Health study section panel, and is on its steering committee. |

Mr. Sridhar holds a masters degree in pharmacology from BITS Pilani (India)and has served the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. He has had the benefit of serving MNCs both in India and has worked various departments and has acquired industry specific skills related to each department. He is best known in the GCC countries , where he was invited by the Government of Oman to develop pharma plants for the country. He work is well acclaimed by the industry and is currently one of the directors of CREST while he also has interests in other pharmaceutical companies in India. Mr. Sridhar has also a "Doctor of Medicine in Homeopathy," a degree conferred by the " British Institute of Homeopathy " in London.
